     Jane Hester Macdougall was born on 3 March 1790.1 She was the daughter of Duncan Macdougall and Jean Campbell.2 She married General Sir John Hope on 21 April 1814.1 She died in 1880.1
      From 21 April 1814, her married name became Hope. She was married 2nd, as his 3rd wife, Rev William Knight, Rector of Steventon, Hampshire (see BLG KNIGHT of Chawton) in 1969.1
