     John Allardice was born circa 1505.1 He was the son of John Allardice of Allardice and Janet Lundie.1 He married Margaret Erskine, daughter of Sir Thomas Erskine of Brechin and Elizabeth Scrymgeour, before 14 July 1541.1 He died on 9 September 1547 at Pinkie Cleugh, Inveresk, Midlothian, Scotland, killed in action.2
     He fought in the Battle of Pinkie on 9 September 1547.2
