     Sir Frederick Mills, 1st Bt. was born on 23 April 1865.1 He was the son of Leighton Mills and Jane Ann Dalziel.2 He married, firstly, Edith Mary Topham, daughter of George Marshall Topham, on 19 August 1889.1 He married, secondly, Mary Kathleen Dawkins, daughter of Ernest Dawkins, on 10 April 1918.1 He died on 22 December 1953 at age 88.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Monmouthshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Monmouthshire.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Monmouthshire in 1912.1 He was created 1st Baronet Mills, of Ebbw Vawle, co. Monmouth [U.K.] on 21 January 1921.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for East Leyton between 1931 and 1945.1 He was chairman of Ebbw Vale Steel, Iron and Coal Company.1
