     Margaret Anne Alice Fairlie was born on 17 January 1853.2 She was the daughter of James Ogilvie Fairlie and Elizabeth Constance Crawford.1,2 She was baptised on 14 February 1853 at Symington, Ayrshire, Scotland.2 She married Sir Graeme Hepburn Dalrymple-Horn-Elphinstone, 4th Bt., son of Sir James Dalrymple-Horn-Elphinstone of Horn and Westhall, 2nd Bt. and Mary Heron-Maxwell, on 5 January 1875.1 She died on 12 March 1932 at age 79.1
      From 5 January 1875, her married name became Dalrymple-Horn-Elphinstone.1
