     John Frederick de Vere Shaw was born on 8 May 1930. He was the son of Lt.-Col. Sir Robert de Vere Shaw, 6th Bt. and Dorothy Joan Cross. He married Penelope Ann Milbank, daughter of Denis William Powlett Milbank and Doreen Frances Butler, on 6 August 1955. He died on 30 October 1960 at age 30, killed in a motor accident.
