     Lt.-Col. Brownlow Villiers Layard was born on 3 January 1838.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Brownlow Villiers Layard and Elizabeth Digby.1 He married Clara Lattey, daughter of Robert John Lattey and Rebecca Payne, on 4 November 1882.1
     He lived at Deep Cove, Vancouver, British Columbia, CanadaG.2 He lived at Riversdale, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 28th (Gloucestershire) Regiment.1

Lt.-Col. Brownlow Villiers Layard1

     Lt.-Col. Brownlow Villiers Layard was born on 14 July 1804.1 He was the son of Reverend Brownlow Villiers Layard and Louisa Port.1 He married Elizabeth Digby, daughter of Captain John Deane Digby and Elizabeth Mary Madden, on 14 July 1835.1 He died on 27 December 1853 at age 49, by suicide.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 9th Regiment.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Carlow in 1841.1

Louisa Port1

     Louisa Port was born on 7 April 1778.1 She was the daughter of John Port.1 She married Reverend Brownlow Villiers Layard, son of Very Rev. Charles Peter Layard and Elizabeth Ward, on 6 October 1803.1 She died on 4 July 1817 at age 39.1
     From 6 October 1803, her married name became Layard.1

     Elizabeth Digby is the daughter of Captain John Deane Digby and Elizabeth Mary Madden.1 She married Lt.-Col. Brownlow Villiers Layard, son of Reverend Brownlow Villiers Layard and Louisa Port, on 14 July 1835.1
     From 14 July 1835, her married name became Layard.1
