     Florence Mabel Howe was the daughter of Henry Howe.2 She married George Horatio Nelson, 1st Baron Nelson of Stafford, son of George Nelson and Emily Walsh Lewis, on 17 July 1913.1 She died on 14 December 1962.
     From 17 July 1913, her married name became Nelson. After her marriage, Florence Mabel Howe was styled as Lady Nelson of Stafford on 20 January 1960.

     Henry George Nelson, 2nd Baron Nelson of Stafford was born on 2 January 1917.1 He was the son of George Horatio Nelson, 1st Baron Nelson of Stafford and Florence Mabel Howe.2 He married Pamela Roy Bird, daughter of Ernest Roy Bird, on 8 June 1940.1 He died on 19 January 1995 at age 78.1
     Henry George Nelson, 2nd Baron Nelson of Stafford usually went by his middle name of George.1 He was educated at Oundle School, Oundle, Northamptonshire, England.1 He graduated from King's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1937 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from King's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1941 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was managing director of D Napier and Son between 1942 and 1949.1 He was registered as a Civil Engineer (C.E.)1 He was managing director of English Electric Company between 1956 and 1962.1 He was appointed Fellow, Institution of Civil Engineers (F.I.C.E.)1 He was chairman and chief executive of English Electric Company between 1962 and 1968.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Nelson of Stafford, of Hilcote Hall, co. Stafford [U.K., 1960] on 16 July 1962.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Nelson, of Hilcote Hall, co. Stafford [U.K., 1955] on 16 July 1962.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Academy of Engineering (F.Eng.)1 He was director of GEC between 1968 and 1987.1

     From 8 June 1940, her married name became Nelson. After her marriage, Pamela Roy Bird was styled as Lady Nelson of Stafford on 16 July 1962.
