     Alice Eleanor Hunter was the daughter of Thomas Hunter.² She married Thomas William Oakshott on 19 August 1858.¹ She died on 3 November 1913.¹

     Arthur John Oakshott was born on 26 December 1861.¹ He was the son of Thomas William Oakshott and Alice Eleanor Hunter.² He married Elizabeth Strathearn Leggat, daughter of Matthew Leggat, on 18 September 1895.¹ He died on 3 November 1917 at age 55.¹

     Elizabeth Strathearn Leggat was the daughter of Matthew Leggat.² She married Arthur John Oakshott, son of Thomas William Oakshott and Alice Eleanor Hunter, on 18 September 1895.¹ She died in 1963.¹
     She lived Ontario.¹ Her married name became Oakshott.

     Thomas Arthur Oakshott was born on 4 October 1896.¹ He was the son of Arthur John Oakshott and Elizabeth Strathearn Leggat.² He married Barbara Kathleen on 2 January 1924.¹ He died on 29 April 1968 at age 71, without issue.¹
     He was Lieutenant-Colonel.¹ Dau of Herbert Henry Hylton.¹

     Barbara Kathleen married Thomas Arthur Oakshott, son of Arthur John Oakshott and Elizabeth Strathearn Leggat, on 2 January 1924.¹
      Formerly wife of Renie Patrick Monckton Hoffe-Miles.¹ Her married name became Oakshott.

     Sir Hendrie Dudley Oakshott Oakshott was born on 8 November 1904.¹ He was the son of Arthur John Oakshott and Elizabeth Strathearn Leggat.² He married Joan Withington, daughter of Marsden Withington, on 4 January 1928.¹ He died on 1 February 1975 at age 70, when the life Barony expired.¹
     He lived Bebington.¹ He was County Palatine of Chester (LP).¹ He was also known as 1st Baronet [U.K. Life Peer].¹ He graduated in 1926 with a Rugby and Trin College Cambridge Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) ).¹ He was Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1943.¹ He was Lieutenant-Colonel WW II Middle East and Italy (despatches, invalided ), Member of Parliament (M.P.) (C) Bebington 1950–64, PPS to: Minister Supply and Assist Whip 1951–52, For Sec 1959–60 and Chllr Exchequer 1960–62, a Lord Commissioner of Treasu in 1945.¹ On 10 July 1959 so created and BARON OAKSHOTT.¹ On 21 August 1964 so created (both UK).¹

     Joan Withington was the daughter of Marsden Withington.² She married Sir Hendrie Dudley Oakshott Oakshott, son of Arthur John Oakshott and Elizabeth Strathearn Leggat, on 4 January 1928.¹ She died in 1986.¹
     She lived London and Buenos Aires.¹ Her married name became Oakshott.
