     Henry O'Neill was the son of Shane 'an Diomais' O'Neill and Catherine McDonnell.2 He died in 1618.1
     In 1592 he was imprisoned in Dublin Castle but escaped.1

     Mary McDonnell is the daughter of Sir Alexander 'Cannach' McDonnell.2 She married Con 'Baccach' O'Neill, 1st Earl of Tyrone, son of Conn 'Mor' O'Neill, King of Ulster and Lady Eleanor FitzGerald, in October 1538.1
     From October 1538, her married name became O'Neill.1 After her marriage, Mary McDonnell was styled as Countess of Tyrone on 1 October 1542.
