Captain Peter Osborne1

     Captain Peter Osborne was baptised on 4 September 1690.1 He was the son of Sir John Osborne, 2nd Bt. and Martha Kelynge.2 He married Mary Skelton, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Bevil Skelton, in 1718.1 He died on 13 February 1754 at age 63.1
     He was Captain at Royal Hospital, Greenwich, Kent, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1

Mary Skelton1

     Mary Skelton was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Bevil Skelton.2 She married, firstly, William Molyneux, 4th Viscount Molyneux, son of Caryll Molyneux, 3rd Viscount Molyneux and Mary Barlow, on 22 July 1716.1 She married, secondly, Captain Peter Osborne, son of Sir John Osborne, 2nd Bt. and Martha Kelynge, in 1718.1 She died on 1 April 1765.1
     After her marriage, Mary Skelton was styled as Viscountess Molyneux on 22 July 1716. From 22 July 1716, her married name became Molyneux.1 From 1718, her married name became Osborne.

     Admiral Henry Osborne was baptised on 27 August 1694.2 He was the son of Sir John Osborne, 2nd Bt. and Martha Kelynge.3 He was also reported to have been born on 26 June 1697.1 He married Mary Hughes, daughter of Richard Hughes.1 He died on 4 February 1771 at age 76.1,2
     He was commissioned in 1710 with the rank of officer, in the service of the Royal Navy.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1717.2 He held the office of Governor of Newfoundland between 1729 and 1737.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bedford.1 He was Commander-in-Chief of the Leeward Islands.1 He fought in the Battle of Cartagena in 1757.2 He gained the rank of Admiral of the Blue in 1757.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bedfordshire between 1758 and 1761.2
