     Clement Hungerford Pollen was born on 25 May 1869.1 He was the son of John Hungerford Pollen and Maria Margaret Primaudaye.2 He married Mabel Brenda Dumbleton, daughter of Alan Southey Dumbleton, on 10 July 1912.1 He died on 4 August 1934 at age 65.1
     He was educated at The Oratory School, Edgbaston, Warwickshire, England.3 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 1st Battalion, Kootenay Regiment, Canadian Force.1
