     Margaret Ann Scott was the daughter of James Scott and Elizabeth Thomson.^2,1 She married James Reid, son of William Reid and Mary Miller, on 1 January 1851.¹ She died on 28 August 1881.¹
     From 1 January 1851, her married name became Reid.

     James Reid was born on 29 January 1858.¹ He was the son of James Reid and Margaret Ann Scott.² He died on 10 November 1882 at age 24, in a shooting accident.¹

     Sir Hugh Reid of Springburn, 1st Bt. was born on 9 February 1860.² He is the son of James Reid and Margaret Ann Scott.² He married Marion Maclune Bell, daughter of John Bell and Magdalene McAlister Shiels, on 8 August 1888.² He died on 7 July 1935 at age 75.²

Glasgow and Kilmaurs, co. Ayr [U.K.] on 26 January 1922.¹ He was president of the Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts between 1925 and 1929.²

     Sir John Reid was born on 28 October 1861.¹ He was the son of James Reid and Margaret Ann Scott.² He married Annie Gourlay Macpherson, daughter of Henry Shaw Macpherson, on 12 October 1898.¹ He died on 25 January 1933 at age 71.¹
     In 1918 Knight.¹ He was Director of the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce in 1921.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1925.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) forBute.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Glasgow.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He lived at Ardencraig, Bute, Scotland.¹

     Augustus Panchaud was born in 1827.¹ He married Emma Holland in 1852.¹ He died in 1881.¹

     Annie Gourlay Macpherson was the daughter of Henry Shaw Macpherson.² She married Sir John Reid, son of James Reid and Margaret Ann Scott, on 12 October 1898.¹ She died on 19 April 1934.¹
     From 12 October 1898, her married name became Reid.

     Ian Macpherson Reid was born on 27 June 1902.¹ He was the son of Sir John Reid and Annie Gourlay Macpherson.² He died in 1972, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Glasgow University, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹ He was educated at University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹

     Elizabeth Margaret Reid was born on 4 June 1900.¹ She was the daughter of Sir John Reid and Annie Gourlay Macpherson.² She married Cecil Gabriel Adolph Salvesen, son of George Adolph Stevenson Salvesen, on 8 June 1927.¹ She died in 1997.¹
     From 8 June 1927, her married name became Salvesen.

     George Adolph Stevenson Salvesen lived at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹

     Cecil Gabriel Adolph Salvesen was the son of George Adolph Stevenson Salvesen.² He married Elizabeth Margaret Reid, daughter of Sir John Reid and Annie Gourlay Macpherson, on 8 June 1927.¹ He died on 3 November 1985.¹
