     Penelope Stonehewer was the daughter of Reverend Richard Stonehewer.2 She married Rev. Sir Richard Rycroft, 1st Bt., son of John Nelson, on 13 February 1759.1 She died on 13 February 1821.1
     She was County Durham.1 With three other sons (died young).1 Youngest.1 Her married name became Rycroft. She was Doctor of Law (LL.D.).1 Rector Houghton-le-Springs.1
