     Caroline Samuelson was the daughter of Sir Bernhard Samuelson, 1st Bt. and Caroline Blundell.2 She married Colonel John Robert Phelips Goodden on 19 May 1875.1 She died on 28 February 1940.1
     She was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)1 From 19 May 1875, her married name became Goodden. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dorset.1

     From 8 October 1890, her married name became Tate.
