     Hon. Brian Simon was born on 26 March 1915.1 He was the son of Ernest Darwin Simon, 1st Baron Simon of Wythenshawe and Shena Dorothy Potter.2 He married Joan Home Peel, daughter of Home Peel and Hon. Mary Gwendoline Emmott, on 12 February 1941.1 He died on 17 January 2002 at age 86.3
     He was educated at Gresham's School, Holt, Norfolk, England.2 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1940 and 1945.1 He was Professor of Education at Leicester University, Leicester, Leicestershire, England.1 He lived at 11 Pendene Road, Leicester, Leicestershire, England.1

     From 12 February 1941, her married name became Simon.
