     Kathleen Penelope Sheppard usually went by her middle name of Penelope.1 From before 1950, her married name became Angus.1 Her married name became Moore.

     Sir Thomas Cecil Russell Moore, 1st Bt. was born on 16 September 1886.1 He was the son of John Watt Moore and Mary Kirkpatrick.1 He married, firstly, Jean Gemmill, daughter of William Gemmill, on 19 February 1925.1 He married, secondly, Kathleen Penelope Sheppard, daughter of Lt.-Col. Samuel Guerney Sheppard, on 26 September 1950.1 He died on 9 April 1971 at age 84.2
     He was educated at Portora Royal School, Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Ireland.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1918.1 He gained the rank of Major.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ayr Burghs between 1925 and 1950.1 He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1937.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ayr Division of Ayrshire and Bute between 1950 and 1964.1 He was created 1st Baronet Moore, of Kyleburn, Ayrshire [U.K.] on 20 September 1956.1 He held the office of Father of the House of Commons in 1964.1
