     Margaret Emily Black was the daughter of John Albert Black.2 She married Hugh Baird Spens, son of John Alexander Spens and Sophie Nicol Baird, on 3 September 1912.1 She died on 20 January 1950.1
     She lived Drumchapel.1 Elder.1 Her married name became Spens. She was Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 In 1952 Dunbartonshire (see BLG BLACK OF HIGHFIELD PARK.)1

     Thomas Patrick Douglas Spens was born on 15 February 1914.1 He is the son of Hugh Baird Spens and Margaret Emily Black.2 He married Margaret Susan Douglas Pilkington, daughter of Alan Douglas Pilkington, on 7 December 1938.1
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.1 He was Northamptonshire.1 He was Major late Argyll & Sutherland Hldrs, WW II, memb Royal County Archers.1 He was educated Rugby, and RMA Sandhurst.1 He was Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1944.1 He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.) in 1954.1 He was Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) in 1966.1

     Margaret Susan Douglas Pilkington was the daughter of Alan Douglas Pilkington.2 She married Thomas Patrick Douglas Spens, son of Hugh Baird Spens and Margaret Emily Black, on 7 December 1938.1 She died on 9 December 1943.1
     And Dean Wood.1 Newbury.1 2nd.1 Her married name became Spens. She lived Achvarasdal.1 Caithness.1 She was Berkshire (see BLGS PILKINGTON OF REAY) in 2001.1

Michael Patrick Spens of Wormiston1

     Michael Patrick Spens of Wormiston was born on 24 October 1939 at Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He was the son of Thomas Patrick Douglas Spens and Margaret Susan Douglas Pilkington.3 He married, firstly, Caroline Sedgwick Rough, daughter of William George Sedgwick Rough, in 1962.2 He and Caroline Sedgwick Rough were divorced.2 He married, secondly, Dr. Janet McKenzie, daughter of Donald McKenzie, in 1986.2 He died on 28 March 2014 at age 74.2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He was an architect.2 He graduated from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1963 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2,3 He graduated from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1965 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)3 He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 18 May 1970.3 He was publisher and editor of Studio International.2 He wrote the book Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe: Gardens of the mind, published 1992.2 He wrote the book The Complete Lanscape Designs and Gardens of Geoffrey Jellicoe, published 1994.2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Institute of British Architects (F.R.I.B.A.)3 He wrote the book Modern Landscape, published 2003.2
