     Brig.-Gen. Reginald Francis Arthur Hobbs was the son of Simpson Hackett Hobbs.1 He married Frances Graham Stirling, daughter of General Sir William Stirling and Anna Christian Stirling, on 29 August 1906.1 He died on 10 July 1953.
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in the Royal Engineers.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)1 He had three sons (two killed in the Second World War.1 )

     Captain Francis Stirling was born on 1 April 1839.1 He was the son of Charles Stirling, 1st of Muiravonside and Charlotte Dorothea Stirling.2 He married May Caroline Francis, daughter of Colonel Peregrine M. Francis, on 20 September 1871.1 He died in February 1880 at age 40, lost at sea while commanding H.M.S. Atalanta which disappeared in a storm.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1
