     Sir Robert Thorold, 1st Bt. was the son of Anthony Thorold and Catherine Haselwood.2 He married Anne Carvil.1 He married Hon. Katharine Roper, daughter of Christopher Roper, 2nd Baron Teynham, circa 1630.1 He died before 1662.1
     He lived the Haugh.1 Royalist Civil War.1 He was also known as 1st Baronet (E) [U.K. Life Peer].1 On 14 June 1644 so created.1

     Sir Robert Thorold, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir Robert Thorold, 1st Bt. and Hon. Katharine Roper.2 He married Catherine Knollys, daughter of Sir Henry Knollys, in 1653.1 He died before 1695.1
     He lived the Haugh.1 He was also known as 2nd Baronet [U.K. Life Peer].1 In 1692 imprisoned Tower London for high treason.1
