     From June 1919, her married name became Grabowsky-Atherstone. From 18 June 1934, her married name became Waley Cohen.

     Charles Waley Cohen was born on 26 September 1879.1 He was the son of Nathaniel Louis Cohen and Julia Matilda Waley.2 He married Ethel Alice Kisch, daughter of Hermann M. Kisch, on 28 October 1910.1 He died on 16 January 1963 at age 83.1
     He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, England.1 He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1903 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He was member of the Colonial Office Committee of Emigrants Information Board between 1904 and 1910.1 He was Secretary of the Select Committee on Post Office Servants between 1906 and 1907.1 He was Acting Judge of the High Court [Karachi] between 1910 and 1911.1 He was Secretary of the Select Committee on Post Office Servants between 1912 and 1913.1 He fought in the First World War between 1915 and 1921, where he was mentioned in dispatches.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1919.1
