     Vivian Fox-Strangways was born on 29 July 1898. He is the son of Maurice Walter Fox-Strangways and Louisa Blanche Phillips. He married, firstly, Rona Heathcote Plummer, daughter of A. H. Plummer, on 17 May 1927. He and Rona Heathcote Plummer were divorced in 1932. He married, secondly, Dorothy Margaret Sinker Bannerman, daughter of Reverend William Edward Bannerman, on 13 June 1934.

     Rona Heathcote Plummer is the daughter of A. H. Plummer. She married Vivian Fox-Strangways, son of Maurice Walter Fox-Strangways and Louisa Blanche Phillips, on 17 May 1927. She and Vivian Fox-Strangways were divorced in 1932.
