Major Patrick Langford Daryl Weldon was born on 26 September 1917.1 He was the son of Walter Langford Weldon and Muriel Stewart Richardson.2 He married Pamela Jane Grant, daughter of Colonel Leonard Bishopp Grant, on 20 August 1955.1 He died in 2002.1
He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He gained the rank of officer in the Wiltshire Regiment.1 He fought in the Korean War between 1950 and 1951, where he was mentioned in dispatches.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1952.1
