Robert Percy Frith White was born on 31 May 1896.1 He was the son of Herbert Meadows Frith White and Annie Laura Borrett.2 He married, secondly, Joyce Margaret Embery, daughter of Stanley Unwin Embery, on 14 October 1954.1 He married, firstly, Eleanor Clare Hargrave Sharpe, daughter of Venerable Ernest Newton Sharpe, on 3 April 1919.1 He died on 16 January 1981 at age 84.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1918.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the King's Own Royal Regiment.1 He fought in the Second World War.1

     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, London, England.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches six times.1 He was commander of the 4th Indian Division Signals between 1939 and 1941.1 He was Chief Signals Officer, East African Forces in 1941.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1941.1 He was Chief Signals Officer, 8th Army between 1941 and 1944.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1943.1 He was Signal Officer in Charge of the 21st Army Group in 1944.1 He was awarded the Commander, U.S. Legion of Merit.1 He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Signals.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1945.1
