     Richard Whitmore was born on 21 June 1614.1 He was the son of Sir William Whitmore and Dorothy Weld.2 He married Catherine Deards, daughter of Robert Deards.1 He died on 20 August 1667 at age 53.1
     He lived at Lower Slaughter, Gloucestershire, England.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Gloucestershire in 1667.1
