George Thorp Onslow was born on 17 July 1858 at Ripley, Surrey, England.2,1 He was the son of Major Pitcairn Onslow and Adelaide Marianne Elizabeth Saltern Willett.2 He married Ethel Paul Kitcat, daughter of Reverend David Kitcat and Clara Frances Paul, on 3 September 1887 at Tetbury, Gloucestershire, Germany.2,1 He died on 14 June 1921 at age 62.2
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Marine Light Infantry.2 He fought in the Sudan Campaign.1 He fought in the Boer War.1 He fought in the First World War.1
