     Richard Raymond De Cruce Grubb was born on 11 June 1886.1 He was the son of Samuel Richard Grubb and Alice Hannah Binney.2 He married Ruth Leney, daughter of Alfred Charles Leney, on 8 July 1914.1 He died on 28 December 1970 at age 84.1
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of hussar in the Third Hussars.1 He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Flying Corps.1 He was with the Passed Staff College at Camberley, Surrey, England.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1916.1 He gained the rank of commander between 1932 and 1936 in the Third Hussars.1 He was a cavalry instructor at the Senior Officers' School between 1936 and 1938.1 He retired from the military in 1939.1 In 1939 he was re-empd for service on the General Staff.1 He lived at Castle Grace, County Tipperary, Ireland.1

     From 14 October 1914, her married name became O'Callaghan.1 From 1 November 1918, her married name became de Sales La Terriere.1 She lived at Kiltinan Castle, County Tipperary, Ireland.1

     Gerard Arthur O'Callaghan was the son of General Sir Desmond O'Callaghan.2 He married Joan Mary Grubb, daughter of Samuel Richard Grubb and Alice Hannah Binney, on 14 October 1914.1 He died on 24 May 1915 at Flanders, Belgium, killed in action.1
     He gained the rank of officer in the 18th Irish Regiment.1
