     Richard Hackett was the son of Michael Hackett and Jane Mitchell.2 He married, firstly, unknown daughter FitzGerald, daughter of Reverend E. FitzGerald.1 He married, secondly, Jemima Sadleir, daughter of Thomas Sadleir, on 30 June 1856.1 He died on 28 September 1871.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He lived at Elm Grove, County Offaly, Ireland.1
