     Christian Baron von Oppenheim was born on 4 February 1926 at Antibes, France. He was the son of Harold Baron von Oppenheim.1 He married Ione Mary Stuart Walker, daughter of Edward Alan Walker and Lady Mary Crichton-Stuart, on 27 July 1955.1 He died on 8 October 1967 at age 41 at Lagos, Nigeria, killed in an air crash.1
