     Commander Dermod James Boris Jewitt is the son of Captain Reuben James Charles Jewitt and Enid Avice Bagot.1 He married Pamela Mary Scrutton, daughter of Furse Fairfax Vidal Scrutton, on 1 March 1941.1 He and Pamela Mary Scrutton were divorced in 1951.1 He married Emma Jane Vick, daughter of Reginald Martin Vick, on 19 September 1960.1
     Commander Dermod James Boris Jewitt was decorated with the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.).1 He gained the rank of Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1
