She was the daughter of Maurice Georg Jamatel, Count Jamatel and Marie Herzogin von Mecklenburg-Strelitz. She married Major Karl Barton von Stedman on 8 May 1928. She died on 24 September 1969 at age 64 at Besselich.
     Marie Augusta Frederica Elizabeth Jametel, Countess von Nemerow gained the title of Countess von Nemerow in 1910. From 8 May 1928, her married name became von Stedman.
