     Arthur Terrick Haultain was born on 20 August 1835 at Woolwich, Kent, England.2 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Francis Haultain and Eliza Anne Deane.2 He married Louisa Josephine Torr on 14 June 1877 at Petane, New Zealand.2 He died on 24 June 1895 at age 59 at Petane, New Zealand.2
     He lived at Napier, New Zealand.1
