     Hugh Dudley Auchincloss, Jr. was born on 15 August 1897 at Hammersmith Farm, Newport, Rhode Island, U.S.A..1 He was the son of Hugh Dudley Auchincloss and Emma Judson Jennings.1 He married, firstly, Maya de Chrapovitsky on 4 June 1925.1 He married, secondly, Nina S. Gore in 1935.1 He and Nina S. Gore were divorced in 1941.1 He married, thirdly, Janet Norton Lee, daughter of James Thomas Lee and Margaret A. Merritt, on 21 June 1942.1 He died on 20 November 1976 at age 79.1
     Hugh Dudley Auchincloss, Jr. fought in the First World War, with the U.S. Navy.1 He graduated from Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut, U.S.A., in 1920.1 He graduated from Columbia University, New York City, New York, U.S.A., in 1924 with a in law.1 He fought in the Second World War, with the Office of Naval Intelligence.1
