     Jonkheer Jan Pieter Teding van Berkhout was born on 21 August 1786 at Haarlem, The Netherlands.1 He was the son of Jan Teding van Berkhout and Elisabeth Sophia van Sypesteyn.1 He married, firstly, Anna Johanna Kops, daughter of Willem Philip Kops and Cornelia de Wolff, on 1 January 1809 at Haarlem, The Netherlands.1 He married, secondly, Anna Madelaine Henriette de Bosset, daughter of George François de Bosset and Anna Margaretha Gravin van Heemskerck, on 25 May 1827 at Haarlem, The Netherlands.1 He died on 24 August 1856 at age 70 at Huis Aelbertsberg, Bloemendaal, The Netherlands.1
     On 16 September 1815 he was elevated to the Dutch nobility and granted the hereditary prefix of Jonkheer.1
