     Brook Taylor was born on 18 August 1685 at Edmonton, London, England.1 He was the son of John Taylor and Olivia Tempest.1 He married, firstly, unknown daughter Brydges in 1721.1 He married, secondly, Sabetta Sawbridge, daughter of John Sawbridge, in 1729.1 He died on 29 December 1731 at age 46 at Somerset House, England.1
     He graduated from St. John's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1709 with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)1 He graduated from St. John's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1714 with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.)1 He wrote the book Methodu Incrementorum Directa et Inversa, published 1715.1 He wrote the book Linear Perspective, published 1715.1 He wrote the book New Principles of Linear Perspective, published 1719.1 He graduated with a Doctor of Civil Laws (D.C.L.)1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)3 He lived at Bifrons, Kent, England.1
