     Sir John Nicholas Pease Fry, 4th Bt. was born on 23 October 1897.2 He was the son of Sir John Pease Fry, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Theodora Fox.1 He married Helen Murray Bott, daughter of William Gibson Bott, on 15 October 1927.2 He died on 14 January 1985 at age 87.3
     He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, EnglandG.2 He fought in the First World War between 1916 and 1919, with the Friends Ambulance Unit.2 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1920 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Fry, of Woodburn, Blackwell, co. Durham [U.K., 1894] on 6 August 1971.2

     Margaret Jane Fry usually went by her middle name of Jane.1 From 25 August 1956, her married name became Redway.1
