     Most Rev. John Sharp was born on 16 February 1644/45 at Bradford, Yorkshire, England.1 He was the son of Thomas Sharp and Dorothy Weddal.1 He married Elizabeth Palmer in 1676 at Clerkenwell, London, England.1 He died on 2 February 1714 at age 68 at Bath, Somerset, England.1
     He held the office of Archbishop of York between 1691 and 1714.1
