     Anne Charmian Fane was born on 13 March 1916.1 She was the daughter of Major Henry Nevile Fane and Hon. Harriet Hepburn-Stuart-Forbes-Trefusis.2 She married, firstly, Robert Rivers-Bulkeley, son of Captain T. H. Rivers-Bulkeley, on 1 June 1937.1 She and Robert Rivers-Bulkeley were divorced in 1949.1 She married, secondly, Peter Richard Hampton, son of Robert W. Hampton, on 12 February 1949.1 She died on 15 February 1990 at age 73.1
     Anne Charmian Fane usually went by her middle name of Charmian.1 From 1 June 1937, her married name became Rivers-Bulkeley. On 1949 her name was legally changed to Fane.1 From 12 February 1949, her married name became Hampton.

     Robert Rivers-Bulkeley is the son of Captain T. H. Rivers-Bulkeley. He married Anne Charmian Fane, daughter of Major Henry Nevile Fane and Hon. Harriet Hepburn-Stuart-Forbes-Trefusis, on 1 June 1937.1 He and Anne Charmian Fane were divorced in 1949.1
     Robert Rivers-Bulkeley gained the rank of officer in the service of the Scots Guards.1 He was invested as a Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.).1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.).1
