     John Trefusis Carpenter-Garnier was born on 2 February 1874. He was the son of John Carpenter-Garnier and Hon. Mary Louisa Trefusis. He died on 15 September 1914 at age 40 at Aisne, killed in action.
     John Trefusis Carpenter-Garnier fought in the First Battle of Aisne.

He married Cheston Isolda Prideaux-Brune, daughter of Reverend Edward Shapland Prideaux-Brune, on 16 September 1914.
