     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 13th Squadron, Royal Flying Corps.1 He fought in the First World War.1

Anthony Howe Browne was born on 30 June 1905.1 He was the son of Percy Howe Browne and Alice Tremlett Mariller.1 He married Joyce Mary Le Roy Collin, daughter of John Collin, on 6 October 1931.1 He died on 14 October 1940 at age 35, killed in action on H.M.S. Liverpool when it was torpedoed by an Italian plane.1,2
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Second World War.1
