     Sir John Tankerville Goldney was born on 15 June 1846 at Pickwick, Corsham, Wiltshire, England.1 He was the son of Sir Gabriel Goldney, 1st Bt. and Mary Anne Alexander.1 He married Jane Macgregor Laird, daughter of John Laird and Elizabeth Hurry, on 9 February 1875 at Parish Church, Birkenhead, Cheshire, England.1 He married Alice Frances Goldney, daughter of Major Frederick Charles Napier Goldney and Edith Caroline Wilkins, on 15 February 1913 at Ealing Parish Church, London, England.1 He died on 11 April 1920 at age 73 at Monks Park, Corsham, Wiltshire, England.1

     She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 From 1 September 1949, her married name became Rous.1
