Katherine Susan Fitzroy was born on 24 August 1923. She is the daughter of Robert Oliver Fitzroy, 2nd Viscount Daventry and Grace Zoë Guinness. She married, firstly, Phil John Turner, son of Phil Turner, on 13 October 1945. She and Phil John Turner were divorced in 1958. She married, secondly, Anthony Woodlington Boardley, son of B. W. Boardley, on 12 June 1958.
From 13 October 1945, her married name became Turner. From 12 June 1958, her married name became Boardley.
