     John Munro, 1st of Milntown was the son of Hugh Munro, 9th of Foulis and unknown daughter Sutherland.2 He died after 1424.2
     He was Tutor of Foulis.1 In 1454 he led the Clan Munro on a raid into Perthshire, and on their return they were ambushed by the Clan Mackintosh at Clachnaharry, and many lives were lost. John lost a hand.1
