     Colonel Ion Bridges Hamilton Benn was born on 14 June 1887.1 He was the son of Sir Ion Hamilton Benn, 1st Bt. and Frances Charlotte Bridges.1 He married Theresa Dorothy Blacker, daughter of Major Frederick Henry Blacker and Anna Constance Bazalgette, on 20 December 1916.1 He died on 4 August 1956 at age 69.1
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.1 He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Durham County Light Infantry.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918, where he was mentioned in dispatches.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 4th Battalion, Norfolk Regiment.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Norfolk.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Norfolk in 1949.1

     Theresa Dorothy Blacker is the daughter of Major Frederick Henry Blacker and Anna Constance Bazalgette.1 She married Colonel Ion Bridges Hamilton Benn, son of Sir Ion Hamilton Benn, 1st Bt. and Frances Charlotte Bridges, on 20 December 1916.1
     From 20 December 1916, her married name became Benn.1

Sir Patrick Ion Hamilton Benn, 2nd Bt.1

     Sir Patrick Ion Hamilton Benn, 2nd Bt. was born on 26 February 1922.1 He was the son of Colonel Ion Bridges Hamilton Benn and Theresa Dorothy Blacker.1 He married Edel Jørgine Løback, daughter of Colonel Wilhelm Sofus Løback, on 19 June 1959.1 He died in 1992.2
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry.1 He fought in the Korean War between 1951 and 1952.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Benn, of Rollesby, co. Norfolk [U.K., 1920] on 4 August 1956.1 On his death his title became extinct.2
