     He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Montgomeryshire between 1661 and 1679.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Preston between 1685 and 1687.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Shrewsbury between 1689 and 1698.1
