     Sir William Wilson, 1st Bt. was the son of John Wilson and Mary Gardener.1 He married Mary Haddon, daughter of Francis Haddon, in 1644.1 He died on 9 December 1685.1
     He was a cavalier in the Civil wars.1 He was created 1st Baronet Wilson, of East Borne, Sussex [England] on 4 March 1660/61.1
