     Reverend William Maugham was born on 10 July 1726.1 He was the son of William Maugham and Sarah (?)1 He married Susanna Reid, daughter of Reverend Farringdon Reid, circa 1763.1 He died on 30 May 1814 at age 87.1
     He was educated at Wisbech Grammar School, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He was educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He was Curate between 1755 and 1759 at St. Mary, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He was Curate between 1759 and 1764 at St. Martin's, Stamford, Lincolnshire, England.1 He was Rector between 1762 and 1764 at Pilton, Rutland, England.1 He was Master between 1764 and 1814 at Free Grammar School, Moulton, Lincolnshire, England.1
