     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1945.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Intelligence Corps.1 He wrote the book A cat in the window.1 He wrote the book Time was mine.1 He wrote the book One king.1 He wrote the book A gull on the roof.1

     Wilfred Noel Tangye was born on 2 July 1877.1 He was the son of Sir Richard Tangye and Caroline Jesper.1 He married, firstly, Janet Elizabeth White-Rickard, daughter of Richard White-Rickard, on 8 September 1904.1 He and Janet Elizabeth White-Rickard were divorced in 1914.1 He married, secondly, Marjorie Mildred Russell, daughter of J. G. Russell, on 16 December 1914.1 He married, thirdly, Jocelyn Dennett Heather, daughter of H. D. Heather, on 22 February 1926.1 He died on 10 October 1962 at age 85.1
     He fought in the First World War between 1915 and 1918, with Graves Registration Units.1
