     Captain Alexander Gordon Russell was born on 11 July 1854.1 He was the son of General Lord Sir Alexander George Russell and Anne Emily Worsley Holmes.1 He married Ella Maude Commerell, daughter of Admiral Sir John Edmund Commerell, V.C., on 22 October 1885.1 He died on 4 June 1917 at age 62.
     He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Rifle Brigade.1

     Admiral Sir John Edmund Commerell, V.C. was born on 13 January 1829 at Grosvenor Square, London, England.2 He died on 21 May 1901 at age 72 at Hyde Park, London, England.2 He was buried at Cheriton Road Cemetery, Folkestone, Kent, England.2
     He gained the rank of Commander in 1854 in the service of the Royal Navy.3 He fought in the Crimean War.3 He was decorated with the award of the Victoria Cross (V.C.) on 24 February 1857, for his actions on 11 October 1855.1,3 He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.).1 He gained the rank of Admiral of the Fleet in 1900.3

     Major Leonard George Russell was born on 6 June 1858.1 He was the son of General Lord Sir Alexander George Russell and Anne Emily Worsley Holmes.1 He married Agnes Harriet Lee, daughter of Reverend Godfrey Bolles Lee, on 8 April 1890.1 He died on 7 April 1946 at age 87, as a result of an accident.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Rifle Brigade.1
