     Katherine Caroline Barrington was born on 19 May 1861. She was the daughter of Hon. Henry Frederick Francis Adair Barrington and Mary Georgiana Knox. She married, firstly, Francis Henry Newdigate in 1890. She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. James Meredith Maurice, son of Price Maurice, on 17 December 1902. She died on 8 August 1936 at age 75.
     From 1890, her married name became Newdigate. From 17 December 1902, her married name became Maurice.

     Lt.-Col. James Meredith Maurice was the son of Price Maurice. He married Katherine Caroline Barrington, daughter of Hon. Henry Frederick Francis Adair Barrington and Mary Georgiana Knox, on 17 December 1902. He died on 30 July 1936.
     Lt.-Col. James Meredith Maurice lived at Portland, Knysna, Cape Province, South Africa.

     Commander Edward Lindsay Ashley Foakes gained the rank of Commander in the service of the Royal Navy. He lived at Mountjoy, Knysna, Cape Province, South Africa.
