He married Joy Watkins, daughter of Hubert Watkins and Ella Silverthorne, on 4 July 1970 at Mbabane, Swaziland.
     Richard Prinz von Isenburg was baptised with the name of Maria Richard Leonard Benedict Anton James Quentin Friedrich Ernest.
